President extols gifted students

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan met on Tuesday with a number of students to congratulate them on their award-winning performances representing the UAE in international competitions.

During the meeting, which took place at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed expressed his pride in the impressive achievements of the students who won a number of medals and awards at this year’s Indonesia Inventors Day in Bali, and the International Economics Olympiad in Hong Kong.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed praised the students for their dedication and hard work, noting that their success served to advance their own ambitions and also demonstrated the capabilities of the UAE’s youth on the global stage. He wished them ongoing success and encouraged them to continue aiming high, so they could bring further honour to themselves, their families, and the UAE.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed emphasised that the UAE places great importance on innovation, science, technology, and artificial intelligence, recognising the significant role they play in driving development and progress, as well as building a more prosperous future for the nation. He urged the students to continue their learning journeys in order to gain self-confidence and new skills that will benefit both themselves and society as a whole.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed noted the UAE’s ambition to build a generation with exceptional abilities, by providing them with the necessary tools and environment to succeed.

The students expressed their pleasure at meeting His Highness, noting that the opportunity served as motivation for further hard work and accomplishments in the future.

UAE President welcomes participants of UN Police Performance Workshop: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday welcomed participants of the third UN Police Performance Workshop, which is being hosted by the Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi.

Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, accompanied His Highness the President at the reception.

During the meeting at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed greeted the guests and wished them success in their efforts to develop recommendations that will contribute to enhancing police work in line with best practices, aimed at overcoming various challenges.

He emphasised the importance of dialogue and the exchange of expertise and experiences among international agencies to strengthen their ability to maintain peace and security.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed also reaffirmed the UAE’s ongoing commitment to enhancing international cooperation and coordination for safer societies. He praised the vital role played by international police forces in maintaining peace and security, particularly in areas affected by conflict.

The workshop, being held for the third time outside the United Nations headquarters, focuses on the performance management of UN police leaders in peacekeeping operations during wars and crises, as well as future frameworks for international police work, development opportunities, anticipated challenges, and other related topics.

UAE leaders congratulate number of world leaders on National Day: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, have sent separate congratulatory messages to President Xi Jinping of China on Chinese National Day; President Surangel Whipps Jr. of the Republic of Palau; President Nikos Christodoulides of Cyprus; President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria; and Tofiga Vaevalu Falani, Governor-General of Tuvalu, on their countries’ Independence Day.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed dispatched similar messages to Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of China, and Prime Minister Feleti Teo of Tuvalu.
