The meeting brought together ministers from various countries to discuss the vision articulated by the Joint Communiqué issued at the Summit on Peace in Ukraine, which was held in Bürgenstock in Switzerland, in June this year.
During the conference, ministers discussed ways to develop a concrete plan - guided by the principles of international human rights and humanitarian law - for the return of refugees to Ukraine. The Conference participants also called for strengthening the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, as part of the suggested 10-Point Peace Formula, and identifying the best approach for post-return rehabilitation and reintegration for Ukrainian returnees after the war.

Al Hashimy affirmed that the UAE’s participation in the Ministerial Meeting on Human Dimension of Ukraine's 10-Point Peace Formula reflects the country’s continuous support for initiatives that serve to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions as a result of the ongoing war in Ukraine, particularly on children, women, refugees and captives.
Furthermore, the minister highlighted the UAE’s continuous diplomatic endeavours and the successful mediation efforts between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine. The UAE’s mediation efforts have succeeded in completing nine exchanges of war captives between the two countries, bringing the total number of captives exchanged to 2,184.
Al Hashimy affirmed that since the outbreak of the crisis in Ukraine, the UAE has continuously provided urgent relief and food supplies to those impacted, aiming to mitigate the severity of the crisis endured by the people of Ukraine. The aid dispatched has included USD 100 million of humanitarian aid to Ukrainian civilians, and the launch of an air bridge to deliver relief aid, essential food items, and medical supplies, along with electricity generators, ambulances, and other medical and educational equipment. Furthermore, the UAE has dispatched planes carrying aid to Ukrainian refugees in neighboring countries such as Poland, Moldova, and Bulgaria.
Al Hashimy underscored the UAE’s commitment to continuing all efforts aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, reiterating the UAE’s call for diplomacy, dialogue, and de-escalation.
