Sharjah Police stressed the importance for bike riders to abide by the approved regulations and rules when practising desert activities and hobbies.
This came as part of Sharjah Police’s ongoing keenness to enhance public safety and encourage safe practices that contribute to protecting and raising awareness of the environment to achieve sustainable development goals in line with government directives.
Carrying out desert activities in an unsafe manner and in locations that are not designated for such hobbies could lead to serious accidents and loss of life, they said.
They urged bikers to avoid reckless driving, stay away from rugged areas or areas that are far from emergency routes, and abide by the instructions that ensure the safety of individuals and enhance public security.
