His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued a directive to Khorfakkan Municipality, requesting the provision of inspectors, observers and security personnel on Al Luluyah Beach after midnight. The objective is to organise and regulate activities on the beach in order to prevent violations or transgressions.
The directive was promptly issued by His Highness in response to a query from a caller to the "Direct Line" programme, presented by media figure Mohammed Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.
Engineer Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, Director of the Municipality, stated that upon receipt of His Highness's directive, the municipality will commence work without delay. Thereafter, the place will be subject to follow-up and supervision to guarantee its cleanliness. Furthermore, continuous monitoring and inspection patrols will be conducted after midnight to provide visitors with optimal comfort.
Conversely, Mohammed Khalaf, a media professional, emphasised the implementation of all directives issued by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah pertaining to the demands associated with the "Umm Khalifa", who contacted the programme on Monday.
He stated that the relevant authorities, namely the Social Services Department, the Human Resources Department, and the Sharjah Police, promptly initiated the requisite processing of the demands as soon as they received His Highness's directives.
Furthermore, he stated that the supplementary allowance for Umm Khalifa and the heirs would be distributed from the date of issuance of the directive on 1 January 2018. Furthermore, retroactive disbursements of social assistance were made for the months of September and October.
Mohammed Khalaf confirmed that the intention is to disburse the supplementary allowance and social assistance on a monthly basis to the citizen.
Umm Khalifa has seven orphans and was receiving Dhs7,500 from social services. However, her assistance was interrupted due to her second marriage, which unfortunately did not succeed. She subsequently divorced.
She explained that her late husband, the father of the orphans, was employed by the Sharjah Police General Command, and that his retirement salary was Dhs11,000. She was not aware that she was entitled to supplementary assistance on his salary, which His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah had ordered for everyone, as her deceased husband was married to another woman, who is not currently in the country.
