Excessive speed and sudden deviation from the road caused the death of an Emirati boy after the vehicle he was driving rolled over on Maliha Road in Sharjah.
In detail, the operations room at the Sharjah Police General Command received a report on Thursday evening, stating that a vehicle rollover accident occurred involving a 13-year-old Emirati boy on Maliha Road due to excessive speed.
Accordingly, the police patrols and the National Ambulance moved to the accident site.
Upon moving to the site, it was found that there were no other vehicles involved in the accident, and that it occurred as a result of the driver's inability to control the vehicle, which led to the crash. The driver of the vehicle was transferred by the National Ambulance to Al Dhaid Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
Sharjah Police were investigating the incident, while the accident file was transferred to the competent center to investigate the circumstances of the incident and determine the causes of the accident.
The Sharjah Police General Command called on members of society not to leave vehicles or allow their children under the legal age to drive without obtaining a driving licence, stressing the importance of adhering to traffic laws, to preserve their safety and the lives of road users.
