The Dubai Police General Command has augmented its patrol fleet with the addition of 200 newly manufactured Land Cruiser vehicles, which are distributed exclusively by Al Futtaim Motors.
The new patrols were launched by Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, in the presence of Brigadier Nabil Abdullah Al Redha, Acting Director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue, and Brigadier Turki Bin Faris, Acting Director of the General Department of Operations.
Also attendees from Al Futtaim were Antoine Bart, Vice President; Yousef Al Raisi, General Manager of Government Relations at Al Futtaim Motors, Jacques Brent, Managing Director of Al Futtaim Toyota and Lexus; and Sherif Atwa, Sales Manager.
The new patrols will be responsible for organising traffic and enhancing the security presence of police officers in tourist areas and other areas of the emirate.
The cutting-edge technologies will be employed in the new patrols, which have been launched by the Dubai Police General Command in order to enhance the quality of security and traffic work in the Emirate of Dubai. Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi explained that the new patrols will utilise modern means that are characterised by the latest technologies and specifications, including the latest smart systems and artificial intelligence technology.
The General Command is keen to employ these new technologies in order to improve the quality of security and traffic work in Dubai, and to provide the highest levels of service to the public.
Furthermore, Major General Abdullah Al Ghaithi stated that the new patrols are an addition to the existing security and police patrols, with the objective of providing comprehensive coverage of all areas within the emirate.
The aim is to facilitate prompt access to the scene and achieve optimal levels of response, with the intention of enhancing the police presence in the field and public confidence in police performance. This is in line with the ongoing efforts of Dubai Police to adopt and implement innovative initiatives and projects in accordance with plans and programmes.
Al Ghaithi commended the collaboration and coordination between Dubai Police and Al Futtaim Motors in supporting programmes and leadership activities to ensure institutional integration between government and private entities.
He emphasised that Dubai Police has consistently demonstrated a willingness to establish partnerships with the private sector, and this enduring partnership and strategic cooperation between the two entities exemplifies the government's orientations in enhancing communication, positive cooperation and the desired integration in implementing joint initiatives and social responsibility, which collectively portray the Emirate of Dubai as a leading entity and illustrate the respective roles of the government and private sectors in achieving strategic goals.
For his part, Yousef Al Raisi emphasised the significance of the strategic partnership with the Dubai Police General Command, noting that Al Futtaim Motors anticipates continued collaboration with the Dubai Police.
