The Ras Al Khaimah Police commended act of people who helped rescue three young Emiratis, who had become stranded in the sea at Al Rams City while engaged in fishing activities. The high tide reportedly prevented them from returning to the beach.
Colonel Ahmed Salem Al Mazyoud Al Shehhi, Head of Al Rams Comprehensive Police Station, indicated that a report was received from a citizen indicating that he and other two were unable to return to the beach due to the seawater rising on them while they were engaged in fishing activities.
He further stated that the National Ambulance and the Search and Rescue Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police were promptly alerted, and upon their arrival, it was ascertained that a number of bystanders had successfully rescued the three young men in their twenties and returned them to the beach.
He also noted that a medical examination was conducted on the young men at the scene, which revealed that they were in good health.
Colonel Al Shehhi urged the public to exercise caution and remain vigilant regarding the tides when engaging in activities such as fishing or swimming, with the aim of ensuring their safety and protection from potential hazards.
He emphasised that the Ras Al Khaimah Police force is always prepared to fulfil its professional and humanitarian obligations and provide assistance to those in need on a 24-hour basis.
