Emirates has issued updates on scheduled flights to Lebanon and Iraq, indicating that the suspension of flights to Beirut has been extended until the end of the year.
In the case of Iraq, Emirates has announced the cancellation of all flights to and from Baghdad until November 30, 2024.
It has been announced that customers intending to transit through Dubai on an Emirates flight with an end destination of Baghdad will not be permitted to travel from their point of origin until further notice.
Flights operated by flydubai (FZ) are currently in operation to Baghdad. It has been announced that customers with confirmed flydubai (FZ) bookings with a final destination of Baghdad will be permitted to travel. It is recommended that customers regularly monitor the status of their flydubai (FZ) flight.
As for Lebanon, Emirates has announced the cancellation of all flights to and from Beirut until December 31, 2024. It will not be possible for passengers who are transiting through Dubai and whose final destination is Beirut to travel from their departure airport.
In a statement released by Emirates, a spokesperson offered the following remarks, “Those affected by these flight cancellations are advised to contact their booking agents for alternative travel options or to contact the airline directly if they booked directly with Emirates.”
He added, “The situation in the region is subject to constant and rigorous monitoring, with the relevant authorities kept apprised of developments through close communication.”
The carrier recommends that passengers verify the accuracy of their contact details by accessing the Manage Booking page, which will enable them to receive updates in the event of any changes.
