The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) affirmed that it has taken action against 1,934 private establishments which hired 3,035 Emiratis but violated the Emiratisation decisions by following fictitious Emiratisation and circumventing the Emiratisation targets.
This was done during the period from mid-2022 to Nov.19, 2024.
On the other hand, the ministry clarified that more than 22,000 private establishments employ Emiratis and comply with the Emiratisation policies and decisions.
MoHRE published details of the measures taken against the non-compliant establishments on its social media platforms.
These measures include imposing administrative fines ranging from Dhs20,000 to Dhs500,000, referring the case to the public prosecution according to the type of violation, and downgrading the establishment's classification to the lower category within the ministry's classifications.
Regarding the individuals who benefited from fictitious Emiratisation, the ministry affirmed that it has taken strict measures, including stopping their benefit from the "Nafis" programme and reclaiming the financial benefits they previously received.
MoHRE emphasised its firm handling of practices aimed at evading legal Emiratisation obligations, calling on the public to report any non-compliant practices through the call centre on the number 600590000, or through the smart app or the ministry's website."
