Sheikh Mohammed pardons 1,169 inmates ahead of National Day

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordered the release of 1169 inmates from the reform and penal institutions in Dubai from different nationalities, on the occasion of the 53rd Union Day.
The initiative reflects His Highness' commitment to providing released inmates with an opportunity to rebuild their lives, achieve family stability, and contribute once again to their communities.
Counselor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, the Attorney General of the Emirate of Dubai, affirmed the immediate start of coordination with the General Command of the Dubai Police to implement the release order as soon as possible, and in a way that ensures bringing happiness and joy to the families and relatives of the released on this precious national occasion.
