President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 2,269 inmates from correctional institutions across the UAE on the occasion of the 53rd Eid Al Etihad (National Day).
Sheikh Mohamed also pledged to cover all fines and penalties imposed on the inmates, who had been sentenced for a variety of offences.
This initiative reflects His Highness’ commitment to providing released prisoners with an opportunity to rebuild their lives, achieve family stability, and contribute once again to their communities.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordered the release of 1,169 inmates from the reform and penal institutions in Dubai from different nationalities, on the occasion of the 53rd Union Day.
The initiative reflects Sheikh Mohammed’s’ commitment to providing released inmates with an opportunity to rebuild their lives, achieve family stability, and contribute once again to their communities.
Counselor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, the Attorney General of the Emirate of Dubai, affirmed the immediate start of coordination with the General Command of the Dubai Police to implement the release order as soon as possible.
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the release of 683 inmates from the Sharjah Correctional and Punitive Institution Department in celebration of the 53rd Eid Al Etihad.
On this occasion, Major General Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, expressed his appreciation to the Ruler of Sharjah for his generous gesture.
His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 304 prisoners from punitive and correctional institutions in Ajman, ahead of the UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad. The inmates of various nationalities were selected based on good conduct and behaviour.
The Ruler of Ajman expressed his hope that the released prisoners would reintegrate into society and public life after serving their sentences, and that the joy of Eid Al Etihad would be complete with their reunion with their families.
His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, ordered the release of 1,053 inmates of the Correctional and Punitive Institution in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah on the occasion.
His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has ordered the release of 118 prisoners from punitive and correctional institutions in Fujairah.
His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, has ordered the release of a number of prisoners, who have demonstrated good conduct during their sentences in punitive and corrective institutions in the Emirate of Umm Al Qaiwain, on the occasion of the 53rd Eid Al Etihad.
Sheikh Saud said that the noble gesture aimed to give the pardoned an opportunity to reintegrate into society and ease the suffering of their families.
