As we commemorate the 53rd Eid Al Etihad, Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi shared her reflections: "December 2nd is more than just a date; it’s a profound reminder of the journey that shaped the United Arab Emirates. Each year, Eid Al Etihad celebrates the historic moment that united our nation. Yet, in the UAE, every day is a celebration — of achievements that transcend milestones and of values that inspire communities to believe in their purpose, recognise their impact, and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of their societies. Eid Al Etihad is not simply a historic event — it is a guiding principle and a national identity that forms the cornerstone of our aspirations and development."
She further emphasised: "The legacy of our founding fathers, upheld and enriched by our wise leadership, is among our most cherished treasures. It has equipped us with the knowledge and vision to pursue excellence while affirming that culture is more than a community’s identity — it is a universal value that unites humanity. By investing in culture — through art, literature, publishing, and translation — we unlock new avenues for dialogue and understanding between civilizations. Such efforts help embed the principles of justice, compassion, and shared humanity at the heart of our global interactions."
On Eid Al Etihad, Sheikha Bodour reminds us of the enduring power of unity, not just in building nations, but in fostering a world bound by shared values and mutual respect.
