Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded the lowest temperature in the UAE on Saturday, and the coldest by 7°C at 3:30am, due to the effect of the country and the region by an extension of a low-pressure system from the east, which coincided with an extension of a low-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere, accompanied by a relatively cold air mass and an upper air current from the west, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM expects Sunday's weather to be generally partly cloudy, with the formation of low clouds in some areas. It also expects winds to be northwesterly, moderate to active, and strong at times, especially over the sea, stirring up dust on land, with speeds ranging from 15 to 30 kilometres/h, amounting to 45 kilometres/h and the sea will be very disturbed to disturbed in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to disturbed at times in the Sea of Oman.
According to the NCM, Monday's weather will be generally partly cloudy, with the formation of clouds in some eastern and northern areas and islands, which may be accompanied by light rains. Winds, the NCM indicated will be northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, sometimes active, dust stirring, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 40 kilometres/h and the sea will be disturbed to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to light in the Sea of Oman.
The NCM indicated that Tuesday's weather will be generally partly cloudy, with the formation of clouds on the islands and some coastal areas, which may be accompanied by light rains and temperatures’ rise.
Winds, the NCM said will be southeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate, sometimes active, dust stirring, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 40 kilometres/h and the sea will be disturbed to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to light in the Sea of Oman.
Wednesday's weather, according to the NCM, will be generally partly cloudy, with the formation of clouds on the islands and some western coastal areas, which may be accompanied by light rains and will be humid on Wednesday night and Thursday morning in some coastal and inland areas.
Winds will be southeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate, sometimes active, dust stirring, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 35 kilometres/h and the sea will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman, the NCM reported.
