On this December 2nd, the National Day of the United Arab Emirates, Romain Gerardin-Fresse, renowned lawyer and strategic advisor, expresses his deep connection to this nation that, for 52 years, has embodied unity, ambition, and innovation.
"I am Emirati at heart," he confesses with emotion. "The UAE is not just a country, but a
vision brought to life by exceptional leaders and a cosmopolitan population working together
to build an exemplary future."
Dubai: A city of opportunities and a model of excellence
At the heart of his admiration lies the iconic city of Dubai, which he describes as "a model for
the entire world." He praises the spectacular transformation of this metropolis, which has
evolved in just a few decades from a small trading port to a leading economic and cultural capital.
"Dubai is a place where the impossible becomes possible," he asserts. He highlights visionary projects such as the D33 Economic Agenda, which aims to double the emirate's economy to reach AED 8.7 trillion by 2033, as well as the ambitious Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) program targeting more than AED 1 trillion over ten years.
For Romain Gerardin-Fresse, Dubai’s success stems from a bold approach that blends
technological innovation, global openness, and governance excellence.
Ras Al Khaimah: A rising destination
Beyond Dubai, Romain Gerardin-Fresse also emphasizes the emergence of Ras Al
Khaimah as a key player in the development of the United Arab Emirates. "Ras Al Khaimah
is a gem that combines nature, heritage, and innovation," he explains.
With its majestic mountains, pristine beaches, and initiatives to become a leader
in sustainable tourism, the emirate is increasingly drawing international attention. "The economic and tourism transformation of Ras Al Khaimah, while preserving its cultural roots, is a model to emulate."
A model of sustainability and humanity
Romain Gerardin-Fresse also applauds the UAE's commitment to sustainability. Projects
like Masdar City and the ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 reflect
their determination to build a more environmentally respectful future.
He also emphasizes the importance of humanity in the Emirati vision. "The UAE is a model
of tolerance and coexistence, bringing together over 200 nationalities who live and work together in rare harmony. Their investment in education and healthcare demonstrates that prosperity is not only measured in numbers but also in quality of life."
A tribute to the unity and vision of the Emirates
On this National Day, Romain Gerardin-Fresse pays tribute to the visionary leaders of the
United Arab Emirates, starting with His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the Union. "The UAE embodies unity in diversity and excellence in every field. This country proves to the world that when ambition is driven by a clear vision, anything is possible."
"Every visit, every exchange, every project reminds me why I feel so deeply connected to this
country," says Romain. He recounts with emotion how he was warmly welcomed by the
Emiratis, whose generosity and hospitality he describes as unparalleled.
In conclusion, Romain Gerardin-Fresse states: "The United Arab Emirates do not merely
dream big; they act, innovate, and build a future that the entire world watches with
admiration. I am honored to be part of this dynamic and proud to say: yes, I am Emirati at heart, and I always will be."
