Bed air keeps Lahore on the top of the air quality index as most polluted city of the world with AQI reading 310 on Monday.
Indian capital city New Delhi ranked second and Accra, the capital city of Ghana, third most polluted city on the AQI.
The air quality of Multan, Peshawar and Karachi has been hazardous. The level of particulate matter in air has been measured 268 points in Multan. While 230 points in Peshawar and 215 in Karachi.
Lahore has also been ranked first in Pakistan on the air quality index, while Multan listed second, Peshawar third, Rawalpindi 4th and Karachi ranked 5th with regard to the air pollution.

As many as 82 per cent of young residents of Lahore support a strict monitoring system to check air pollution caused by vehicles, factories and other sectors, a survey has revealed.
The survey report shared by the Punjab Environment Protection and Climate Change Department showed that 63 per cent people find Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s performance better as compared to previous governments to curb smog in the province.
According to the report, 44% of the respondents said smog was caused by vehicles and 88% demanded that factories should be shifted from residential areas to reduce air pollution.
