The Board of Directors of Emirates Health Services (EHS) convened for its sixth meeting of 2024 on Wednesday in Dubai to discuss a range of strategic topics, including institutional performance for Q3, progress on transformational projects, and updates on their implementation.
These initiatives aim to enhance healthcare services across preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative levels, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for individuals in line with global best practices.
The meeting, chaired by Dr Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Chairman of the Board, was attended by board members and Dr Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director-General of EHS.
Various other projects and key issues were discussed during the meeting.
Dr Al Olama reaffirmed EHS’s dedication to being a pioneering government entity in implementing transformational projects since their nationwide inception. This commitment aims to fundamentally improve healthcare delivery through cutting-edge technological advancements, adhering to the highest standards of modern medical services, and enhancing the UAE’s standing on the global health stage.
He highlighted that EHS’s strategy aligns with the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership and national strategies that focus on enhancing government services and embedding digital transformation in healthcare. This involves adopting global best practices and leveraging the latest advancements in medical technology.
During the meeting, Dr Al Olama reiterated EHS’s determination to make strategic decisions that bolster the performance of all units, health facilities, and service delivery channels.
He highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance quality, efficiency, and excellence in healthcare, aiming to provide the community with sustainable health practices that contribute to the vision of “We the UAE 2031” vision. He commended the board members for their crucial roles in supporting EHS’s strategic objectives.
In his remarks, Dr Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal stated that the meeting’s focus was to evaluate the implementation outcomes of transformational projects as per established plans and timelines. This aligns with EHS’s vision to become a global leader in delivering high-quality health services and improving individual quality of life through proactive, integrated healthcare based on the latest advancements in medical technology and a professional workforce.
