The International Charity Organisation (ICO) has launched its annual winter campaign, aiming to implement charitable projects valued at over Dhs10 million.
The initiative seeks to alleviate the suffering of those affected by winter hardship by providing necessities.
Dr. Khaled Abdul Wahab Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the Organisation, highlighted ICO's dedication to assisting the most vulnerable groups facing challenges such as inadequate shelter, warmth and food during winter.
The campaign aims to deliver comprehensive support through high-quality projects, including food aid, winter clothing distribution, home maintenance, heating fuel and shelter for displaced persons.
ICO seeks to improve the quality of life for thousands of orphans, destitute families and elderly individuals, particularly in regions such as Kosovo, Bosnia and Kyrgyzstan, where harsh winter conditions prevail.
Additionally, the campaign supports needy groups within the UAE, including workers and orphans, by providing winter clothing and food.
Dr. Al Khaja urged philanthropists to contribute to the campaign, stressing the importance of community collaboration in creating a significant positive impact on the lives of those in need.
