Sheikh Mohammed appoints Marwan Bin Ghalita as acting director general of Dubai Municipality

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said, “Brothers and sisters, today we announce the appointment of Marwan Bin Ghalita as Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, in addition to his current duties. Marwan is a graduate of the Leaders Programme and has a good reputation for communicating with the public, easing their affairs and co-operating with other institutions. He has a major developmental mission ahead of him in the most important and oldest government institution in Dubai.”

“I thank Dawood Al Hajri for his efforts, dedication and work in Dubai Municipality over the previous years. They were transformative years in Dubai and he was able to keep up with them and achieve success. I wish him success in his career in the coming period,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted on X platform.

“I also thank Mattar Al Tayer, who supervised a number of Dubai government institutions over the past period including Dubai Municipality, Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, Land Department, and others, especially in terms of organizational and strategic aspects. Today, these institutions are starting a new phase in their service and economic work and are continuing their journey to make Dubai the world’s best city to live in,” he added.
