Under the directives of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and the follow-up Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, the General Department of Correctional and Punitive Establishments of Dubai Police has fulfilled an inmate's wish to attend his daughter's wedding ceremony via video conferencing.
Major General Marwan Julfar, Director of the the General Department of Correctional and Punitive Establishments, stated emphatically that Dubai Police are committed to ensuring the happiness of inmates. They facilitate communication procedures between inmates and their families via video communication, bringing joy and happiness to the inmates' hearts. In addition, they enhance psychological stability among inmates and maintain family ties.
Julfar was clear that the Correctional and Punitive Establishments prioritise the human aspect of inmates by offering them the option to participate with their families in events via video communication whenever possible. The inmate's family submitted a request for the father to attend his daughter's wedding online, and it was approved without delay.
The father was able to communicate with his family members and attend the completion of his daughter's wedding ceremony and the completion of the legal and religious procedures with the legal notary through the video communication feature. He was able to share these happy and blessed moments with his family, which require psychological support and the solidarity of all family members.
The inmate expressed his gratitude to the Dubai Police and the staff at the the General Department of Correctional and Punitive Establishments for facilitating communication and sharing the joy with his family members on this happy occasion, which enabled him to attend his daughter's wedding.
