Dust storms likely today, tomorrow; mercury may drop

The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast that the weather on Sunday will be partially cloudy, with the potential for occasional dust storms. Low-level clouds are expected to form in some eastern and northern regions, which may be accompanied by light precipitation and a reduction in temperatures. Humidity levels are expected to rise during the night and on Monday morning. In some inland areas, winds could be light to moderate in speed, with intermittent periods of increased strength.

These winds may be active to strong at times on the sea, resulting in the suspension of dust particles and the generation of dust clouds during the daytime on the land. Additionally, the waves are expected to be rough to very rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and light to medium at times in the Sea of Oman during the nighttime. The weather on Monday will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with occasional dust storms, and low clouds will appear in some eastern and northern regions, as expected by the NCM.

Additionally, the islands may experience light rain and wet conditions at night, with a possibility of fog or light fog forming in some inland areas on Tuesday morning. Winds will be northwest to northeast, with speeds ranging from light to moderate, and may be active, reaching speeds of 15 to 40 km/h. The sea will be turbulent to medium in the Arabian Gulf and turbulent at the beginning, becoming medium to light in the Sea of Oman.

Tuesday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy conditions, with the potential for low clouds to form over some western areas and islands. Humidity levels are expected to be high at night and on Wednesday morning, with the possibility of light fog forming in the morning over some internal areas. The winds will be northeasterly to southeasterly in direction and of a light to moderate speed, with intermittent periods of increased activity.

The wind speed is expected to reach 10 to 25 km/h, with isolated instances of higher speeds up to 40 km/h. The waves will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman. The weather on Wednesday is expected to be marked by clear to partly cloudy skies, with humidity at night and on Thursday morning in some inland areas. Additionally, northwesterly winds are expected to be light to moderate in speed and active to strong at sea, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, reaching 45 km/h.

The winds will be moderate to strong in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman. The weather on Thursday is expected to be predominantly clear to partly cloudy, with humidity reaching its peak at night and in some inland areas on Friday morning. Winds originating from the north-west are anticipated to be light to moderate in speed, with intermittent periods of increased activity, reaching speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, with the potential for gusts up to 40 km/h. Wave conditions are expected to be rough to medium in the Arabian Gulf and light to medium in the Sea of Oman.
