Various areas of the country witnessed fog and a decrease in horizontal visibility for three hours on Tuesday morning, from 6:00am. to 9:00am and rain of varying intensity also fell as a result of the weather conditions the country is experiencing, which will end on Thursday.
This condition is caused by the influence of an extension of a low-pressure system from the southeast, coinciding with an extension of a low-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere, which is accompanied by a cold air mass and an upper air current from the west, leading to the development of clouds and rainfall, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM indicated that fog formed in the areas of Ramah, Za’ba, and Al Wagan in the city of Al Ain. It also formed in Tal Al Sarab in Al Dhafra region, and in the areas of Abu Samra and Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi, while rains of varying intensity fell in Hatta in Dubai and other scattered areas.
The lowest temperature recorded in the country on Tuesday morning was 6.4°C in Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah, at 7:15am, while the second lowest temperature was 7.5°C in Mezairah, at 7:00am.
