Dubai Civil Defence teams successfully extinguished a fire that had broken out in a boat in the Dubai Harbour area near a petrol station. There were no reported casualties. Specifically, the Dubai Civil Defence Operations Room received a report at 11:50am on Sunday that a fire had broken out in a boat, and Dubai Harbour Fire Station was immediately mobilised as the first responder and competent authority.
According to a Dubai Civil Defence source, teams arrived at the scene within three minutes, where it was ascertained that the fire had originated in a boat in proximity to the fuel station. Specialist teams initiated evacuation and firefighting operations in a timely and efficient manner.
The field commander of the incident reported that the fire had been contained and that the process of cooling had commenced. He confirmed that there had been no injuries and that the site would be handed over to the relevant authorities after the cooling operations were completed in accordance with approved procedures.
