Colonel Khalid Mohammed Al Kai, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police, explained through a phone call to the “Direct Line” programme that as of Wednesday, January 8, 2025, people in the Emirate of Sharjah can test their vehicles remotely via a smart service that is available now on Rafid app, without the need to visit a test centre. The first of its kind service in the country has been made available for the motorist in the emirate from today through Rafid app, which shared a video that shows how to use the service, Colonel Khalid Al Kai added.
He further noted that the service is available to individuals in possession of private vehicles bearing plate numbers of Sharjah. The model’s year of the vehicle should be less than eight years back, with no more than 18 months from the last registration. The test report will be issued within 24 hours, thus continuing the renewal process.
