Sultan Bin Ahmed receives e& officials, stresses collaboration

Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Communication Technologies Authority, received Masood M. Sharif Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer, e& UAE, and his accompanying delegation at his office.

Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed welcomed the delegation, praising the efforts made by the organisation in providing innovative technological solutions that serve various sectors of society.

He emphasised the importance of ongoing collaboration between government entities, private sectors, and leading companies in the telecommunications field to develop digital infrastructure and enhance the emirate’s capabilities in this vital area.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Sharjah Communications Technology Authority and e&, which would reflect on improving and developing telecommunications infrastructure in various cities and regions of the emirate.

It also aimed to support telecommunications companies and their services in communication and information technology, enabling them to provide advanced services that keep pace with the latest technologies, while supporting Sharjah’s efforts in promoting digital sustainability, artificial intelligence, and community welfare.

The Chairman of the Sharjah Communications Technology Authority learned from the delegation about the key services they provide to their subscribers, including the latest infrastructure projects, artificial intelligence, technological solutions, and innovations in communication and the internet.

He was informed about future plans that align with the needs of users, both individuals and institutions, as well as technological advancements.

Earlier, in a separate development, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed welcomed Abdullah Bin Sultan Bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, along with his delegation, during a meeting held on Thursday.

At the start of the meeting, Sheikh Sultan warmly welcomed the Minister of Justice, commending the Ministry’s significant efforts to enhance judicial and legal services.

He also emphasised the vital need for ongoing collaboration among the various judicial institutions in the country to foster justice and streamline legal processes, ultimately contributing to the advancement of the nation’s judicial system.

The meeting also addressed several topics related to areas of cooperation between the local and federal sides.

He learned about the workflow in the Ministry of Justice. He was informed about the Ministry’s general strategy to provide the best services to all members of society in all judicial and legal fields, aiming to develop legislative capabilities in line with legal updates.

He attentively listened to an in-depth briefing from the Minister regarding the Ministry’s objectives and plans for the upcoming year. The discussion focused on developing laws and legislation, emphasising the Ministry’s significant role in safeguarding the rights of all individuals.

The minister highlighted the importance of nurturing public interest in the judiciary and providing the necessary support for fulfilling the message of justice within society. This initiative aims to enhance stability by modernising the judicial system across the country.
