Abu Dhabi Family and Civil and Administrative cases Court ordered a man to pay another Dhs3,000 and fined him Dhs1,000 for his dishonesty.
The suspect was standing in front of an ATM when another person came and withdrew an amount of money, and by mistake, a part of it fell, then the suspect took the money and did not inform the police.
In the details, a person filed a lawsuit against another, demanding that he pay Dhs3,000 along with a legal interest of 9% from the date of the judicial claim until full repayment, and Dhs1,000 as compensation for all material and moral damages incurred, as well as the payment of the lawsuit fees and expenses, and attorney's fees.
The court explained that the criminal judgment issued against the suspect proves his guilt, and therefore, the court ordered him to pay Dhs3,000, which he had taken, in addition to a fine of Dhs1,000 for not informing the police.
