Woman fined Dhs10,000 for insulting man over phone in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Family and Civil and Administrative Court ordered a woman to pay Dhs10,000 to a man, whom she had insulted over the phone using vulgar words.

The woman was reportedly convicted of this incident in a criminal case and fined Dhs3,000.

In the details, a man filed a lawsuit against a woman, demanding that she pay him Dhs100,000 for the moral damages he suffered, as well as the payment of the lawsuit fees and expenses.

The court decided that the appellee's mistake, as stated in the criminal judgment, had caused moral harm to the plaintiff.

Therefore, the court ordered the appellee to pay the plaintiff Dhs10,000as compensation for all the damages he incurred.
