Abu Dhabi Family Court for Civil and Administrative Cases ordered a woman to pay Dhs10,000 as compensation to a man, with whom she had a relationship, but she assaulted him, causing him material and moral damages.
The man filed a lawsuit against the woman, requesting that she be ordered to pay him Dhs50,000 as compensation for the material and moral damages he incurred, as well as the fees and expenses of the lawsuit and attorney's fees.
The plaintiff attached a copy of the medical report to his lawsuit, which proved his injuries.
He stated that a criminal case was filed against the woman, and the court issued an absentia judgment fining her Dhs2,000.
The appellee opposed the judgment, but the court upheld it so, she was not satisfied with the judgment and appealed, but the court rejected her appeal.
The court clarified that the woman's fault was proved according to the criminal judgment, therefore, the court estimated the compensation due at Dhs10,000.
