Separate areas across Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain saw drizzles to heavy rain on Friday.
The rain fell on Wadi Naqab, Shaam, Al Jeer, Wadi Shaam, Ghalilah, Al Hayer, Khor Khuwair, Jebel Jais and Jebel Al Rahba in Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Thuoob in Umm Al Quwain.
The lowest temperature of 4.1˚C was recorded at Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 5:30am.
Active and dust-stirring winds blew, causing horizontal visibility to be lower to less than 2,000 metres in some inland areas.
Sunday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times in some northern, eastern and coastal areas with a chance of rain of varying intensity, while water in the mountains is likely to be frozen in the morning. The weather, however, will be humid at night in some inland areas.
Light to moderate northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active, strong and dust-stirring at times at 15 to 30 and up to 45 km/h, while the sea will have moderate waves but may become rough in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Saturday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy and cloudy at times in some northern and eastern areas with a chance of rain but will be humid at night with a chance of fog or light fog over some western inland areas.
Light to moderate northeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have moderate waves but may become rough in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Monday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy with low clouds appearing over some coastal and inland areas but will be humid at night with a chance of light fog over some inland areas.
