In a social media post on Saturday, the Roads and Transports Authority (RTA) announced the closures of key roads in Dubai for a cycling race on Sunday.
According to an update on RTA’s X account, the authority said that certain roads in Dubai will be temporarily closed on Sunday (Feb.2), because of the L'Étape Dubai Cycling Race 2025.
RTA said that five key roads — Oud Metha Road, Dubai-Al Ain Road, Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Road, Expo Road and Lahbab Street — will witness temporary closures during the L'Étape Dubai Cycling Race on Sunday.
The authority urged drivers to use alternative routes — Ras Al Khor Road and Emirates Road — until the end of the race.
The authority also asked motorists to plan their trips ahead and depart early so as to ensure their timely arrival to their destinations.
