His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the employment of 500 male and female citizens in government entities across the emirate.
He also instructed the authorities concerned to disburse the supplementary grant for deceased retirees to their heirs registered in the Emirate of Sharjah so that their pensions reach the minimum for decent living of Dhs17,500, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Head of Sharjah Department of Human Resources, told the Direct Line programme.
Sheikh Sultan also directed that the grant not be stopped upon the death of the family breadwinner who is retired from federal government entities, governments of the other emirates or the private sector, he added.
The grant will be paid to the heirs as of February 2025 and the retroactive pay will be calculated from the date the grant stopped to be paid to the family of the deceased retiree, he said.
