The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has unveiled a new "Rail Bus" initiative, which is capable of operating at a speed of 100 km/h and has a capacity of 40 passengers.
The RTA disseminated information regarding this new service via its social media channels, indicating that comprehensive details will be disclosed on the sidelines of the World Government Summit (WGS-2025), which is scheduled to commence in the Emirate of Dubai on Tuesday.
According to the RTA, the rail bus vehicle will be 11.5 metres in length and 2.65 metres in width.
It is asserted that this novel concept will contribute to enhanced traffic management at a lower cost.
