Within a 24-hour period, air ambulance flight crews at the Air Wing Department of the General Directorate of Security Support at the Ministry of Interior successfully facilitated the rescue of two citizens and a woman of European nationality on Monday.
These individuals had been involved in separate traffic accidents that resulted in severe injuries and necessitated prompt intervention by the Air Wing.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior via its X account, the authorities received a report informing them that a 31-year-old woman of European nationality had been critically injured after having a motorbike accident in the Al Badayer desert area of Sharjah. The injured individual was subsequently transferred to Al Dhaid Hospital via air ambulance for treatment.
In the second case, a 28-year-old citizen was involved in an accident while riding his motorbike in the Al Rafada area of Sharjah. He was subsequently transferred to Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah to receive the necessary care, following a report from the Sharjah Police.
The MOI further elaborated on the third case, stating: "A traffic accident involving a 21-year-old citizen was addressed subsequent to his motorcycle overturning during the nighttime. Following the receipt of a report from the Sharjah Police, an Air Wing aircraft was dispatched to transport the individual to Al Dhaid Hospital for the provision of requisite treatment."
