Advanced Mobility Hub and LIFT Aircraft Middle East have conducted a successful live demonstration of the HEXA light sport passenger electric aircraft in Abu Dhabi, showcasing the aircraft's latest technology, advanced safety features, and eco-friendly propulsion system. With its three-axis joystick, three-axis autopilot system and all-electric propulsion mechanism, HEXA is designed to revolutionise personal air mobility through safe, easy-to-use, emission-free flight.
The live flight experience took place during the 4th ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2025 and the Global Sustainable Marketplace, sponsored by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility). The presentation was attended by government ministries from various countries participating in the 4th ICAO Global Implementation Symposium 2025, underscoring the global importance of integrating advanced air mobility solutions into the region's transportation infrastructure.
The Advanced Mobility Hub and the AeroX Sports Club project represent a major leap for Abu Dhabi and the UAE in pioneering the next generation of transportation. By fostering innovation, attracting advanced technological solutions, and creating an integrated air mobility ecosystem. Advanced Mobility Hub (AMH) and Multi Level Group (MLG) are setting new industry standards and positioning Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a leader in the global aviation industry.
Advanced Mobility Hub, a member of Multi Level Group, in strategic partnership with LIFT Aircraft Middle East, have also made a groundbreaking step in the future of air mobility with the launch of LIFT Middle East in Abu Dhabi, an initiative that aims to assemble and manufacture light sports aircraft in the UAE to the Middle East, making the region a global hub for advanced aerospace technology.
In addition to this milestone, the two entities have unveiled the AeroX Club project, a pioneering platform that will redefine light aerial sports experiences in urban areas. The Aerox Club project aims to provide access to a new generation of light sports, paving the way for a new era of light personal flying and air sports experiences in the Middle East.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Smart Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), with the aim of strengthening Abu Dhabi's position as a leading global destination for the development and use of smart and autonomous systems.
Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the GCAA, stated that providing this direct experience of the electric light sport passenger aircraft operation in Abu Dhabi, a continuation of the various trials conducted by the UAE and ongoing efforts to regulate this vital sector and transition it into the commercial operation phase.
Al Suwaidi emphasised that the GCAA is keen to regulate this emerging sector according to the highest safety standards, ensuring its safe integration with other aviation operators. This is achieved by preparing the legislative environment and infrastructure necessary to embrace this emerging technology. Electric aircraft are an integral part of this new reality and the future of advanced air transportation.

An initiative launched by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), the Smart and Autonomous Vehicle Industries (SAVI) cluster aims to position Abu Dhabi as a global hub for smart and autonomous mobility by fostering innovation, investment and strategic partnerships. Through collaboration with industry leaders and policymakers, SAVI is driving the future of sustainable, intelligent transportation.
Dr Abdulla Al Ghafli, Acting Director General of the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), affirmed that Abu Dhabi plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing innovation in the advanced air mobility sector by providing a robust legislative environment that encourages trials and testing of electric aircraft technologies. Through well-defined strategies, Abu Dhabi is actively developing the necessary infrastructure to accommodate this emerging technology, reinforcing its position as a global hub for attracting the latest advancements in advanced air mobility. The emirate also aims to foster partnerships between the public and private sectors, strengthening collaboration with global companies specialising in advanced air mobility, with a strong emphasis on safety, sustainability, and innovation throughout the development of these technologies.
