The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has issued a circular regarding the official working hours for federal government entities during the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1446 AH.
According to the circular, the official working hours for the ministries and federal entities during the holy month of Ramadan will commence at 9am until 2.30pm, Monday to Thursday. On Friday, the working hours will be from 9am to 12pm, with the exception of those whose work nature requires otherwise.
FAHR further stated that the ministries and federal entities are permitted, in accordance with the interests of work, to continue implementing the flexible work regulations that they have previously approved during working days during the holy month of Ramadan.
This implementation must adhere to the principles contained therein and within the limits of the number of approved working hours per day, with the possibility of granting flexibility to employees working remotely on Fridays during Ramadan.
The percentage of employees must not exceed 70 per cent of the total number of employees of the entity, according to the approved controls.
