Various areas across the UAE experienced light rains and strong winds reaching speeds of up to 40 kilometres/h on Wednesday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM indicated that the lowest temperature, 9.2°C, was recorded at 6:45 am. on Wednesday, as a result of the country being affected by an extension of a low-pressure system from the east and a high-pressure system from the west, accompanied by an extension of a weak low-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The NCM predicts that Thursday's weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of light rains in some northern regions, while it will be humid at night and on Friday morning in some inland areas, with a chance of light fog.
Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate, and active over the sea, occasionally stirring up dust, and with speed reaching 15 to 30 kilometres/h in inland during the day and up to 40 kilometres/h, and the sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
Friday's weather will be generally clear and partly cloudy at times, while it will be humid at night and on Saturday morning in some inland areas, with a chance of light fog, and winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate, and active over the sea at times, with speed ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 40 kilometres/h.
The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Sea of Oman, NCM indicated.
The NCM clarifies that Saturday's weather will be sunny to partly cloudy and cloudy at times, while it will be humid at night and on Sunday morning in some inland areas, with a chance of light fog, while and winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate, and occasionally active over the sea, with speed ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 40 kilometres/h.
The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Sea of Oman.
According to the NCM, Sunday's weather will be sunny to partly cloudy and cloudy at times during the day, and humid at night and on Monday morning in some inland areas, while winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate, and occasionally active, with speed ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 40 kilometres/h. The sea will be reportedly rough in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
