The Department of Awqaf in Sharjah has completed construction of a mosque and a school in the Republic of Bangladesh in collaboration with the Sharjah Charity International.
The mosque, spanning 144 square metres, has a capacity of 216 worshippers, while the school, measuring 144 square metres, can accommodate 90 students.
The total cost of the project was Dhs250,000.
The construction of mosques is widely regarded as one of the most significant charitable works contributed to by philanthropists, as it plays a role in providing places of worship and education.
The Department has expressed a strong commitment to the implementation of this project in areas that experience a paucity of service facilities, in response to the pressing need for mosques and schools in numerous villages.
