Man gets Dhs50,000 compensation for injuries sustained in an assault in Dubai

Al Ain Court of First Instance has ordered a man to pay Dhs50,000 in compensation to another whom he assaulted.
The victim filed a lawsuit against the assailant, requesting to oblige him to pay Dhs100,000 in compensation for the injuries detailed in the medical report which he attached to the case documents, as well as legal fees and costs.
The plaintiff stated that the assailant assaulted him, causing injuries which prevented him from performing his work for twenty days.
The court explained that the appellee's mistake was proved, and he caused damages to the plaintiff, including a fracture of the right ulna and the tibia, in addition to psychological pain.
Consequently, the court ordered the appellee to pay Dhs50,000 as compensation for the damages incurred by the plaintiff.
