Al Ain Court of First Instance has ordered a person to pay Dhs100,000 in compensation to another for psychological and physical harm, as the first committed an act that endangered the life of the latter, in addition to assaulting him physically.
The suspect was convicted in a criminal ruling.
In the details, a man filed a lawsuit against another, requesting that he be ordered to pay Dhs300,000 in compensation for psychological and physical harm, as well as legal fees and costs.
The plaintiff explained that the suspect assaulted him, causing him several injuries.
The court clarified that the documents and papers of the case, along with the photocopy of the ruling issued against the suspect prove that he endangered the life of the victim and assaulted his body with physical violence, causing him harm.
Based on this, the court convicted the suspect saying that the ruling became final as it was not appealed through the Court of Appeals, as per the attached certificate.
Regarding the compensation claim, the court stated that the suspect's mistake is proved, and it resulted in physical and psychological harm to the plaintiff. Therefore, the court ordered the appellee to compensate the plaintiff with Dhs100,000.
