Light rain fell over various parts of the country for the second consecutive day on Monday as the country was affected by an extension of a surface low pressure system from the west, accompanied by an extension of a weak upper-level low pressure system.
The lowest temperature in the country was recorded this morning in Rakna area, Al Ain, at 14.9°C at 04:30 am.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected that the weather on Tuesday will be clear to partly cloudy and cloudy at times, with a probability of light to moderate rain occurring intermittently in certain coastal and western regions.
The northeasterly winds are expected to be light to moderate in speed and active at times, causing dust during the day, with a speed of 10 to 25 km/h, reaching 40 km/h at times. The sea will be medium to light in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
It further stated that the weather on Wednesday would be characterised by a combination of partial and sometimes dense cloud cover, with the potential for intermittent light to moderate precipitation in specific areas, notably those situated in coastal and northern areas.
Northwesterly wind speeds are predicted to range from light to moderate, with occasional periods of activity, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, and up to 40 km/h. The sea is expected to be moderate to medium in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate to light in the Sea of Oman.
It is expected that the weather on Thursday will be cloudy, with a probability of light precipitation during the diurnal period in certain regions.
A gradual decline in temperatures is anticipated, accompanied by light northwesterly winds and medium-sized waves on the sea, which may occasionally become turbulent to moderate in velocity and occasionally active, resulting in dust.
The speed of these waves is estimated to range from 10 to 25 km/h, reaching 40 km/h in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Sea of Oman.
The NCM has predicted that Friday will be clear to partly cloudy, accompanied by a further decline in temperatures. Humidity is expected to be high at night and on Saturday morning in certain coastal and inland areas, with a possibility of fog or light fog forming.
Northwesterly winds are anticipated to be light to moderate in speed, occasionally strong, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, and reaching up to 35 km/h. The sea is expected to be medium to light in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
