The second-semester exams for the current academic year (2024-2025) encountered an unexpected 'technical failure' on the first day of the examination on Monday, for students of public and private schools that apply curriculum determined by the Ministry of Education.
The technical malfunction caused a significant disruption to the physics exams, affecting grades 9 to 11.
Consequently, the commencement of the examinations was postponed by a duration ranging from one to two hours. This development undoubtedly caused considerable inconvenience and delay for the students who were present in the examination halls during the period of the glitch.
School administrations have asserted that they addressed the issue promptly, noting that they immediately communicated with the Ministry of Education, which subsequently assured school administrations that work is underway to fully resolve the issue and ensure that all students are able to take the examination.
The Ministry stated that it had responded to the school administrations to inform them that it had solved most of the technical problems that were reported via the CRM system.
Furthermore, it communicated that it had allocated a toll-free number and email to facilitate communication with the technical support teams to address any problems that students or schools might face during the examination period.
The Ministry of Education has confirmed the scheduling of compensatory examinations for students who were unable to take the final exams due to absence for a valid reason or as a result of technical issues that hindered their participation.
