Woman gets 6-month jail, Dhs20,000 fine for assaulting cops in Dubai

The Dubai Criminal Court handed down a sentence of six months' imprisonment to a woman identified as (R.H.), a Gulf national, for the charges brought against her.
In addition to this, (R.H.) was fined Dhs20,000, and she would be deported from the country after serving the jail term.
She was also referred to a relevant civil court to look into other civil acts committed by her.
The aforementioned woman had been apprehended whilst in a state of drunkenness in a public place, and had incited a riot as a result of her intoxication.
She was also found guilty of physically assaulting members of the Dubai Police while they were on duty and of directing obscene language at them.
Consequently, the Dubai Public Prosecution ordered the referral of the woman to the Dubai Criminal Court for adjudication.
