Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has closed down Al Fairooz Poultry Farm in Al Ajban area of Abu Dhabi city, which holds the commercial licence number (CN-1679479), for violating the Food Law No. 2 of 2008 in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and for posing a risk to public health.
ADFCA explained that the Food Control report stated that the administrative closure decision against the farm was a result of its non-compliance with food safety requirements due to the repetition of high-risk errors which have a direct impact on food safety.
The decision was also made due to the facility's failure to take effective corrective actions to rectify these violations, which affects food safety and consumer health. ADFCA pointed out that four previous violations were issued against the farm, besides a warning of administrative closure due to the monitoring of these violations, including the spread of pests and insects.
ADFCA urged the public to communicate with them and report any violations observed in any food facility or if they suspect the contents of a food item by calling the toll-free number for the Government of Abu Dhabi at 800555.
