UAE faces rain, cloudy skies likely this week

Drizzles to moderate rains fell on separate areas across the country on Monday. Treif and northern Hameem in Al Dhafra Region; Al Dhaher, Al Hayer, Al Khazna, Al Khatm, Mezyad, Malaqet, Al Faqa, Filli, Al Madam and Al Shuwaib in Al Ain; Expo and Hatta in Dubai, Masfout in Ajman and Asfeni and Wadi Al Qor in Ras Al Khaimah.

The lowest temperature of 13.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jebel Mebrah in Ras Al Khaimah at 06:30am.

Tuesday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy with clouds appearing in the east in the afternoon but will be humid at night and on Wednesday morning in some coastal areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 20 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Wednesday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy and cloudy at times in the east with a gradual rise in temperature. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 20 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Thursday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 20 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Friday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy but will be cloudy at night and on Saturday morning. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active at times and dust-stirring onshore at 10 to 20 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
