Parkin has announced that it is in the process of updating codes of some parking zones in Dubai.
The company said that some zones would retain their existing codes, while others would have updated codes. For example, some zones in “A,” “B,” “C,” and “D” are now labeled as “AP,” “BP,” “CP,” and “DP.”
It further advised the users to check the updated zone codes when parking, as they are clearly displayed on the signage. Updates are also available on the Parkin website and the Parkin app, the company added.
Parkin established the designated time frames for public parking in Dubai during the month of Ramadan, extending from Monday to Saturday. The initial charging period commences at 08:00 am and concludes at 06:00 pm, while the subsequent period begins at 08:00 pm and concludes at 12:00 midnight. It is noteworthy that multi-storey car parks are subject to tolls on a continuous basis, 24 hours a day, seven days a week..
The company called on users of the parking facilities to familiarize themselves with the updated codes. These can be found on signage in the car parks, and updates are available on Parkin's website and smartphone app.
Parkin has previously stated that its management team is currently in advanced discussions with the RTA to finalise the outstanding points related to the variable fare tariff, which is set to be implemented from early April 2025.
