In the spirit of Ramadan, TikTok partnered with Deliveroo to host their inaugural community Iftar, bringing together 200 of its riders to celebrate and honour their unwavering commitment to serving the UAE community.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone, reflecting TikTok’s dedication to fostering real-life connections and supporting those who make a difference year-round.
As a platform that thrives on community engagement, TikTok extends its ethos beyond the digital realm, creating spaces where people can connect, share, and celebrate together.
The Iftar not only provided a moment of respite during the holy month but also served as a heartfelt thank you to the riders who tirelessly serve the community.
Following the meal, top-performing riders were honoured with Deliveroo awards, recognising their exceptional dedication and hard work. This gesture aligns with TikTok’s commitment to celebrating and uplifting individuals who contribute positively to society.
“Hosting this Iftar with riders was a truly meaningful and special experience. As a platform that prioritises human connection, this initiative holds deep meaning for us as it allowed us to connect with the real-life heroes of our community and express our gratitude in person. We look forward to continuing such initiatives that bring our digital community together in meaningful ways.” said Emir Gelen, Director of Public Policy at TikTok Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan and South Asia.
“At Deliveroo, riders are an integral part of our business as well as the wider UAE community. Their dedication and hard work, especially during the Ramadan season, deserve recognition and appreciation. We are grateful to the TikTok team for extending this thoughtful invitation and for collaborating with us on this meaningful Iftar initiative,” added Yazan Aburaqabeh, Director of Operations Middle East.
