Dubai Police has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to enhance the performance of shared services by simplifying procedures and eliminating unnecessary steps.
The agreement reflects the mutual commitment of both entities to fostering strategic collaboration that ensures smoother workflows and improved service delivery.
The MoU was signed by Major General Abdullah Khadem Al Mesam, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, and Ahmad Hassan Mahboub, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency.
The signing took place at the Dubai Police Officers Club, in the presence of Brigadier Rashid Muhammad Al Shehhi, Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station, along with several officers from both sides.
Major General Al Al Mesam stated that the MoU is in line with the directives of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and reflects the leadership’s commitment to enhancing service quality, simplifying procedures, and supporting the government’s broader objective of reducing bureaucracy.
He noted that the agreement supports the governance of complaint systems and the development of work mechanisms to achieve the strategic goal of making Dubai a safe and resilient city.
Under the agreement, Dubai Police and RTA will collaborate on:• Streamlining camera registration requests for public transport and related facilities.• Centralising coordination and communication between the two entities regarding surveillance systems.• Organising procedures for providing recorded CCTV footage based on agreed performance indicators.• Facilitating access to documents related to vehicle ownership transfers, such as sales contracts, possession certificates, and shipping documents.• Accelerating the resolution of criminal complaints through quick access to required documentation.• Supporting the "Zero Bureaucracy” initiative by eliminating redundant processes.
Ahmad Mahboub remarked that the signing of the MoU reflects both entities’ dedication to strategic partnership and integrated efforts, contributing to security and quality of life in Dubai.
