Many parents in the UAE were overjoyed on the first day of Eid Al Fitr after welcoming newborns to their families. The Eid Al Fitr is an important festival at the end of the month-long fasting.
Muslims celebrate the occasion with great religious and cultural zeal.
Indian expat in Dubai, Janarthanan Palanisamy and his wife Nithya Krishnamy were blessed with a baby girl through a normal delivery at Aster Hospital Al Qusais as the clock struck 12am.
Sharing their happiness, the parents said, “We are overwhelmed with joy to welcome our baby girl on this special Eid Al Fitr — a moment that makes this day even more unforgettable for our family. We extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible doctors and medical team at Aster Hospital Al Qusais for their exceptional care and support. This is a truly blessed and memorable start to our journey as parents.” An expat couple from Philippines and resident of Dubai, Renel Jay Rebea and Glydel Atienza welcomed a baby boy to their family at around 2:29am at Aster Hospital Al Mankhool.
The parents expressed their happiness and said, “Your (newborn baby) arrival has added extra love and light into our world. May you grow up to live an extraordinary life and as a good boy. Everyone is so fond and excited to see and embrace you. We are so pleased and blessed to have you, my love.
“We thank all the labour room nurses and doctors at Aster Hospital Al Mankhool for their care, patience, and dedication. Your compassion and exceptional kindness have made significant impact in our baby boys’ fast delivery.”
An other Indian expat Nikhil VSand wife Shymumole Vattaparambil were on cloud nine to blessed with baby girl Shymumole Vattaparambil. The baby girl was born at 2:40am at Aster Hospital Sharjah.
In a statement the parents said, “We are overjoyed and immensely grateful to welcome our precious baby girl into the world on this blessed occasion of Eid Al Fitr. The moment we held her in our arms for the first time was truly indescribable, filling our hearts with immense joy and gratitude.”

Meanwhile, Burjeel Hospital and Medeor Hospital in Abu Dhabi welcomed the auspicious day of Eid Al Fitr with the first cries of newborns, marking a joyful start to the celebrations.
Jordanian couple Ashraf Joideh and Sahar Allan welcomed their second child, at exactly 12:00am at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi.
The baby boy (yet to be named), weighing 3.620 kg, was delivered by Dr Hala Elsayed, Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecologist.
“They say Eid is a time of mercy and blessings — and now we have truly experienced it. The moment I heard our baby cry at midnight, I knew this Eid would be etched in our hearts forever. Our child arrived on this special day, and with that came a lifetime of meaning,” said Ashraf, the beaming father.
At Medeor Hospital Abu Dhabi, a baby boy (yet to be named) was born to Indian couple Kadeejath Rishana and Nishad Abdul Rahiman weighing 3 kg at 12.44am.
“We are blessed to have a baby in this auspicious month. This Eid will always hold a deeper meaning for our family. We have become five members now and we celebrate both new life and new beginnings. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and joy on this special occasion,” said the parents.
Dr Richa Saini, Specialist Obstetrics & Gynecology, who delivered the baby, said it was a privilege to be a part of their journey.
