The Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department has announced that it will set up 642 places for Eid Al Fitr prayers across Sharjah. This includes 454 locations in Sharjah City and Al Hamriyah, 103 in the Central Region, and 85 in the Eastern Region.
The department has prepared these prayer areas by ensuring they are ready for worshippers. Special teams have set up audio equipment and organised outdoor spaces to accommodate large crowds of worshippers and their families.
The teams are working closely with the Sharjah Police and the municipality to keep everyone safe and create a comfortable environment for the prayer rituals. In addition, some prayer rooms and mosques will cater to non-Arabic speakers, including those who speak Urdu, Malayalam, Tamil, and English. There will also be sign language interpretation of the Eid sermon at the Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal Mosque in the Al Jazzat area.
The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has adorned the main and secondary streets, medians, and bridges within and outside Abu Dhabi Island with thousands of illuminated structures, signs, and festive greetings in celebration of Eid Al Fitr and to spread joy throughout the community.
The municipality utilised thousands of illuminated pieces, originally used for Ramadan decorations, to mark Eid Al Fitr. These structures, along with Eid greetings, were placed along bridges and streetlights at major intersections on both main and secondary roads.
Messages such as “Happy Eid,” “Eid Mubarak,” “May you have a blessed Eid,” and “May you return safely and victorious” were displayed, reflecting the spirit of the holiday.
In ensuring the safety of road users, the municipality carefully selected the size of each illuminated structure to match the dimensions and width of the streets, maintaining a balance between festive aesthetics and traffic safety for drivers and pedestrians.
Dubai Police have designated seven sites across the emirate for the traditional Eid Al Fitr cannon firing, a cultural practice symbolising the celebration.
Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Tarish Al Amimi, Commander of the Cannon Team, explained that the Eid cannon is a significant part of the UAE’s social heritage, deeply rooted in the community’s memory and consciousness.
Specialised teams will operate the cannons at seven locations: Za’abeel Grand Mosque in Za’abeel and the Eid prayer grounds in Umm Suqeim, Nad Al Hamar, Al Barsha, Nad Al Sheba, Al Baraha, and Hatta. With a comprehensive operational plan, the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) has announced its full preparedness to provide extensive emergency coverage for Eid Al Fitr festivities across the city. The deployment aims to ensure rapid access to medical services and uninterrupted emergency response throughout the holiday period.
Ambulance teams will be stationed across Dubai, with coverage extending to Eid prayer grounds, key celebration venues, and all major public events organised in the emirate. The citywide deployment will facilitate continuous, 24-hour service to both residents and visitors during the busy holiday period.
