The National Guard Command announced on Wednesday the execution of 168 search and rescue operations on land and sea, both within the country and abroad, during the first quarter of 2025 (from January 1 to March 31, 2025).
These operations are part of the National Guard's ongoing efforts to enhance immediate response to emergencies and incidents in the Year of the Community.
The Coast Guard Group conducted 23 search and rescue operations in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman during the first quarter of 2025.
Meanwhile, the National Search and Rescue Center carried out 145 operations during the same period, including 34 medical search and rescue operations in collaboration with relevant authorities, 9 medical transport and air ambulance operations within the country, 4 similar operations outside the country, and other operations.
The National Guard Command emphasized that these operations reflect its commitment to providing highly efficient services in the Year of the Community, utilising the latest technologies and equipment to ensure the safety of lives and rapid intervention in various conditions and geographical areas.
The public is urged to contact the search and rescue emergency line at 995 and the Coast Guard emergency line at 996 to report any emergencies requiring assistance or immediate intervention.
