Abu Dhabi Police made Emirati child Nasser Mohammed happy by fulfilling his dream of becoming a police officer and taking part in the Happiness Patrol.
The initiative was implemented in co-operation with Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, Al Nahyaniya School, Al Tafawuq School and the Aoun Student Crescent Team.
According to Colonel Saeed Ali Al Hassani, Deputy Director of Security Patrols at the Directorate General of Traffic and Security Patrols in Al Ain Region, this initiative comes as part of the objectives of the Year of Community, which aims to strengthen ties within families and institutions by fostering intergenerational relationships and creating inclusive spaces that instill the values of co-operation, sense of belonging and shared experiences.
It also encourages active contribution to fostering a culture of shared responsibility in embodiment of Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy and ongoing commitment to community happiness.
The child expressed his great happiness at wearing a police uniform provided by the Traffic Awareness and Education Section of the Directorate General of Traffic and Security Patrols - Al Ain Region, in co-operation with Mariam Al Dhaheri, an administrator at Al Nahyaniya School.
He had the experience of being a police officer for a full day and toured the Happiness Patrol.
He then visited the Al Murabba Police Museum and learned about how Abu Dhabi Police was established as well as its achievements and its commitment to strengthening the sense of belonging to police work. He also expressed his admiration for the old uniform of Abu Dhabi Police.
